FAQ's

1. Are your courses suitable for all levels of cooks?

Yes they are.  Beginners and competent cooks will all enjoy our courses and with a maximum of 8 per class, everyone gets full tuition from the chef running the class.

2. How do I make a booking and pay?

First of all, please take a look at our courses on the website and choose your favourite.  You then need to contact us to check availability.  Please do so either through the Contact Us section of the website or you can call us on 07979 141291 or email cookery@llanerch-vineyard.co.uk.  Once we have confirmed your place, we need full payment in advance.  Unfortunately we cannot take card payments at present but you can either pay us by cheque made payable to Food In Focus or BACS on line transfer (we will email you our bank details).

3. I need to change my booking.  How do I do this?

Please notify us at least 14 days before your class.  Please do so either through the Contact Us section of the website or you can call us on 07979 141291 or email cookery@llanerch-vineyard.co.uk.  We will then cancel your place and help you to book another.

4. I have a voucher to redeem.  How do I do this?

First of all, please take a look at our courses on the website and choose a course.  If you would like to book a course that costs more than your voucher, you can pay the difference.  You then need to contact us to check availability.  Please do so either through the Contact Us section of the website or you can call us on 07979 141291 or email cookery@llanerch-vineyard.co.uk.

5. Why can't I make restaurant/hotel reservations in the Vineyard when I book my course?

Please call the Vineyard direct on 01443 222716 to book the Bistro and enquire about accommodation.  We are not able to take bookings for the Vineyard as the two businesses are run seperately.

6. I love the look of your monthly Lunch Club but work on Thursdays.  Do you hold these demonstration and dine events on other days?

This event is very popular and we have had many requests to change the day so please contact us and leave us your details and when we do a special Friday Lunch Club, we can contact you.

7. I've made a booking and paid in advance but have heard nothing from you.  Is my booking still secure?

Yes it is.  We email our clients the week of their course to remind them of their booking.  When you come for a course, all you need to do is arrive a little before the start time and bring a selection of containers if you are doing a hands on course as you will have lots of delicious food to take home with you.

8. Is the school available for hire?

Yes it is.  Provided the school is free, we can discuss hire arrangements.  If the cookery facilities are being used, we insist on a member of staff being present.

9. Can you accommodate my food allergy?

Yes we will but need as much notice as possible so please notify us of any food allergy or dietary preference at the time of booking.

10. I'd like to come and do a course and stay the night.  How do I go about doing this?

The Vineyard has fabulous accomodation.  First, you need to choose your course and when you contact us to check availability, we will then liaise with the reservations department at the Vineyard to ensure that there are free rooms at the time you want to come and cook with us.

11. Do you offer cooking and accommodation packages?

No, not at present.  Our courses and the accommodation at the Vineyard are competitively priced and reasonable.  We may introduce mid-week offers later in the year.

12.  What time do your One Day courses start and finish?

Courses on weekdays and Saturdays start at 10am and finish at apprximately 3pm.  Courses on Sunday start at 10.30am and finish at approximately 3.30pm.
