Corporate and Bespoke Days

Cooking is such a great way to communicate with colleagues, clients and friends together. Our events provide a unique creative working environment where you can test your culinary skills and ability whilst working together as a team to produce a fabulous menu.  You can include overnight accommodation and wine tasting as part of your experience, and you can definitely include a lot of fun and great food. 

Here are some typical examples of bespoke days.  Please note that we pride ourselves on being as flexible as possible, and can design menus and challenges according to your needs and group size.  We can also provide basic presentation equipment.

Kitchen Challenge

This event is specially designed for groups, both large and small, who wish to enjoy their food after working hard in the kitchen!  We can tailor the menu according to the size of the team and dietary requirements but find that Italian, Greek Mezze and Spanish Tappas work well with this formula.

Each group of delegates are divided into teams and given separate work stations complete with equipment and ingredients.  Angela will start the session with a demonstration of how to create each dish and the techniques involved, and then each team will start their preparation under expert guidance.

When everyone has completed their cooking, Angela will choose a winning team and the whole group will then go to the Vineyard for their Cariad wine tasting.  On their return, the team will be seated and served the feast that they have all created.

(Wine can be purchased separately from the Vineyard to accompany the meal).

The heat is on!

This challenge requires two teams to go head to head in creating a delicious themed lunch menu.

One team will create the starter and dessert element of the menu, whilst the other team will create the main course, and pre-tasters. Other challenges will be added in such as laying the table, introducing the wines, flower arranging and baking bread. A wine tasting and quiz are also included in the fun, and prizes are presented at the end of the day for ‘Best In Class’. A typical day will be as follows:-

The delegates are greeted with refreshments upon arrival and divided into groups.  Angela then demonstrates the dishes included in the specially chosen menu.  Team 1 then takes to the kitchen whilst the other team enjoys a wine tasting in our Cwtch in the Farmhouse Building.  The two teams swap over and there is then a short break whilst one team transform the school dining area and the other team prepare to plate up and serve.

After eating their feast, Angela chooses the winning team!

Demonstration, Dine And Bake

This is a relaxing day for a group of delegates, starting with refreshments on arrival. Then watch an exciting themed cookery demonstration of your choice, packed full of tips, ideas and fun. Angela may request a little occasional help from a couple of volunteers in the audience. The dishes demonstrated will form a delicious lunch, accompanied by selected wine.

Spend the afternoon baking some wonderful crusty bread to take home. Recipes are included, plus a complimentary wine tasting featuring the wines from Llanerch Vineyard.

Culinary Wizards

This is our most challenging event, but terrific fun too. It is such a great way to team build and get to know your fellow colleagues and clients. The day starts with our usual welcoming meet and greet with refreshments. Then two teams will compete against each other in creating a three-course menu from a selection of ingredients.

Angela will give a short demonstration to get the creative juices flowing, and share some ideas and tips. Then each group will take a test to identify a group of ingredients such as herbs, spices, unusual fruits and vegetables. They will then be given a selection of fabulous ingredients to use in their menu. One team at a time will take to the kitchen, whilst the other has a wine tasting and quiz, then they will swap over.

All the dishes will be served for lunch as small eats on taster plates, so there will be two plates for each course. We will judge the dishes in accordance with set criteria that the teams will be given when they start. A prize will be given to the winning team. All good fun!

After the class has finished, the group can have a wine tasting featuring the Llanerch range (we will include this as part of the package - it's a nice touch). There are also lovely walks around the woodlands and lakes; this can all be integrated into your day with us.
